Promise provides a wide variety of programming that meets entrepreneurs where they are. At any stage, entrepreneurs can come to our studio to advance their venture, gain practical learnings and key insights, and make valuable connections. They also develop camaraderie with peers that becomes a central, supportive fabric throughout their journey. Ultimately, we aim to provide entrepreneurs with the support they need to build sustainable ventures that will positively impact the children and families in the U.S. who need it the most. 



Our network connects entrepreneurs to resources that help accelerate their ventures, test their solutions and vet new ideas. Examples include:

We match entrepreneurs with mentors who can provide tangible feedback and guidance based on personal experience, including:

  • Functional experts spanning product development, organizational development, sales (B2B, B2C), marketing, communications and human resources, among others

  • Successful, serial entrepreneurs in related fields


Trainings and Workshops

We offer both in-person and virtual trainings and workshops based on the needs we hear directly from our entrepreneur community. Below are topics that are in high demand. Please email additional priority needs to:

In addition to participating in existing industry events and conferences, Promise hosts convenings that bring together key partners and stakeholders across the field, including: 

  • Hackathons and innovation brainstorms that spur big idea thinking

  • Local gatherings to connect talent with existing ventures and attract new talent

  • Community gatherings that recognize and contribute to effective community-based organizations and ideas

  • Annual innovation field event of leading contributors to early childhood, the first being Early Futures, an invitation-only convening on November 27-28, 2018 in San Jose, CA, co-hosted with Omidyar Network and Sesame Workshop. Additional details to come.


Personalized Coaching

Promise provides personalized coaching to a select number of venture teams. We help these teams remain accountable to their goals, navigate difficult challenges and crystallize their thinking. Services include but are not limited to: 

  • 1:1 Promise coach

  • Regular meetings with Promise coach to meet individual team goals

  • Pitch support, including presentation development & delivery and message refinement

  • Active relationship management with a focus on individual venture feedback and needs

  • Priority access to connections, resources, events and other select Promise programming
